Wilderness Outfitters is an
independent outfitter that works closely with Wilderness Resorts to
provide an exceptional outdoor experience and luxury accommodations.
Those with a love for the outdoors will rediscover old passions and then
return to a luxurious cabin to relax and prepare for the next day's
adventure. No matter what your outdoor pleasure might be: wildlife
viewing while on horseback or floating leisurely in a canoe, the heart
pounding excitement of a quail covey rising over bird dogs, a horse
packing adventure into the wilderness, fly-fishing for a trophy trout or
bass, big game hunting in beautiful mountain country, or the challenge
of hunting grouse or turkey in the wilderness, Wilderness Outfitters can
make it a reality for you. We can take you to another time in East
Tennessee when nature, wildlife, and the East Tennessee wilderness
soothed the soul of men and women.
In this day of dwindling habitat, Wilderness Outfitters maintains
year round habitat improvement programs on 3,000 privately owned acres
populated by quail, woodcock, grouse, turkey, and deer. Professionals
use the latest forestry and wildlife management methods to insure
healthy and abundant wildlife and a healthy forest. Re-establishing a
wild quail population is an ongoing project in our forest. Excellent
natural cover and maintained food plots encourage success for our wild
quail. We want our forests and wildlife to thrive and provide years of
pleasure for our customers.
Wilderness Outfitters is also
a licensed outfitter for the Big South Fork National River and
Recreation Area. The Park contains 125,000 acres of wilderness and over
eighty miles of fishable river. We can take you to places deep within
the Park's boundaries where the long hunters of the past went to find
game; places where the white pine and hemlock are as big as your SUV;
places where there is nothing to remind you that you live in the
twenty-first century.

heart or mind. Our grouse hunts will provide excitement and life-long
memories. Tennessee small game hunting license required. No hunters
