Here are just a few examples of what our area has to offer: More info and pictures coming soon!! Equestrian Information The ideal locations of Wilderness Resorts offer horseback riders an unrivaled opportunity to view the wondrous trail network of The Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area and The Daniel Boone National Forest, while coming home to a luxurious, fully-furnished log retreat. The hundreds of miles of trails available through these parks are immediately accessible through Wilderness Resorts, as well! The most immediately accessible trails from the Station Camp division of Wilderness Resorts are certain to leave travelers awestruck from the lush scenery of the forests of East-Tennessee. One of these is the Dome Rockhouse Trail, a moderate hike or ride that carries travelers to the Big Island Loop and the beautifully rare Dome Rockhouse, which was used by early Native Americans as a council-home. This trail is a one-way, 1.6 mile ride. The Pilot/Wines Loops is a bit more moderate, being a 12-mile trip, and carries travelers to the Pilot Rock (so called because the stone formation is so massive it has been used, in past years, as a landmark for pilots) and Williams Creek areas. The Big Island Loop is an 11-mile trail that takes riders to Big Island, where they may then ford across the river to the beautiful and widely-known No Business Creek. o For vivid information regarding horse-trails in the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area, please follow this link: http://www.nps.gov/biso/horse.htm o For vivid information regarding horse-trails in the Daniel Boone National Forest, please follow this link: http://www.southernregion.fs.fed.us/boone/horse.htm Hiking Information
